Dear healthcare professionals: Greetings!

In 21st century, as modern healthcare hurtles towards cutting edges technologies, it is timely to revisit holistic medicine which address broader roots of illness in health care reform.

Our health is determined by complex interaction of genetic, environment, psychosocial and lifestyle. Each of these factors must be considered if holistic healthcare is to be achieved.

In order to heal the person and their hearts, healthcare which place emphasis on humanistic value is of paramount importance. Providing care which respect and is tailored to individual needs and preferences should pave the path of humanistic medicine. The paradigm is shifting from the doctor doing medicine to the patient, to one where the doctor does medicine with the patient.

"Healthcare Beyond Medicine" aims to ignite the dialogues among our healthcare professionals, both locally and internationally, on the humanistic and holistic approach in the healthcare industry. It is with hope and firm resolution that this conference will instill and inspire healthcare providers across all cultures, religions and nationalities to embrace the art of humanistic care, to rebuild the trust between the healthcare providers and recipients, and to envision the healthcare profession – beyond medicine.

Registration terms and conditions and payment methods

1. Disbursement for personal expenses
   

   Payment collected from delegates cover attendance to all sessions, conference materials, lunch and refreshments on all three days of the conference, dinner on first and second day of the conference.
   **Please note: Payment collected excludes lodging.

   All payment must be made in Ringgit Malaysia (RM) via one of the following methods:

   • Direct Bank-in

     • For all remittance, please write the following as reference: TIMA CONF 2017
     • Please send us the bank-in slip, together with registrant’s details (Name, contact number and email address), through email or postage.
   • Cash
     Please make cash payment at the clinic during office hour 9am-5pm Monday to Friday.
   • Cheque
     Each cheque must be indicated with the delegate's name, contact number and email address. Cheque must be crossed and made payable to "TZU CHI VOLUNTEER FUND ACTIVITIES".

2. Registration Confirmation

   Registration will only be confirmed upon receipt of full payment. An email confirmation of registration will be sent within 14 working days upon receipt of full payment.

3. Visa Requirement – Invitation letters
   

   It is the sole responsibility of delegates to take care of visa requirements. Please consult your local consular office for the latest information with regard to coming into Malaysia. Delegates are advised to make travel plans as early as possible in order to allow sufficient time for visa application process. Invitation letter to the conference will be issued on written request to timaconf2017@tzuchi.my with subject line "Invitation letter".

4. Cancellation Policy
   

   Request for cancellation must be made in writing to timaconf2017@tzuchi.my with subject line "Cancellation", no later than 3^rd March 2017. Refund of payment will be arranged upon request, or it will be treated as funding in support of the conference.

   Full refund of payment will be made should the conference be cancelled by the organizer due to unforeseen circumstances.

   All refund will be processed after the event.

5. Replacement Policy
   

   Delegates unable to attend the conference for any reason may send an alternate, i.e. single substitution only. Request must be conveyed in writing to timaconf2017@tzuchi.my with subject line "Substitution" by 3^rd March 2017.

6. Liability and Disclaimer

   Whilst attempt will be made to ensure that all aspect of the conference mentioned on http://www.tzuchi.my/timaconference2017/index.html will take place as scheduled, the organizer reserves the right to make changes should need arises, without any liability to delegates whatsoever.

   Delegates are encouraged to obtain adequate cover for personal, health and travel insurance before departing from own countries. The organizer of the conference will not be held liable for any direct or indirect loss, injury or damage to any property.

7. Data Protection and Sharing of Personal Information
   

   Data protection is warranted in accordance with the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010. Personal information obtained through the registration will only be used for administration purpose for the conference, and will not be disclosed to other agencies or individuals without prior agreement.

   Nonetheless, please note that upon registration, delegate is agreeable to be captured in photograph and/or video shooting during the conference, unless otherwise requested by delegate. Such information may be used as publicity materials and/or media publication for the organizer.

The organizer reserves the right to amend, delete and add to the terms and conditions without prior notice.
