Taiwan Buddhist Tzu-Chi Foundation Malaysia 24 Free Clinic Buddhist Tzu-Chi Free Clinics in Melaka, Kuala Lumpur and Klang provide free Western and traditional Chinese treatments, dental services, physiotherapy, eye care, and so on, to low-income groups and the underprivileged in the community. The Free Clinics also organize periodical Disease Screening Programme to promote health awareness in the vicinity. Medical Outreach From time to time, TIMA members would travel across Malaysia to remote villages or communities to provide medical consultations and treatments, and to promote health awareness campaigns to the locals. They would also join medical outreaches in Vietnam, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Nepal, and other Asian countries. Home Medical Services TIMA members pay visits to the elderly and sick who are immobile and provide them with medical treatments, including cleaning and dressing of wounds. They also provide health education, home rehabilitation guidance and counselling services to the patients’ families.
