The electronic version was later devised to reduce paper wastage and save resources. Since its inception, the journal has won recognition and several distinguished awards in Taiwan. The Tzu Chi Malaysia Visual Team, formed in June 1998, is in charge of recording and producing Tzu Chi’s current news and events in Malaysia. In 2011, the team began producing Tzu Chi in Malaysia , a weekly documentary TV programme that is broadcast globally via Da Ai TV.
